New Network of Broadband Internet Access is being developed in the Lubuskie region

TP TELTECH is in charge of the consortium responsible for the project

The New Network of Broadband Internet will have been built in 280 Polish towns of the Lubuskie region up to the end of the next year. The investment will be managed by the consortium of TP TELTECH and HAWE; the agreement between the two companies was signed on Tuesday, February 21st 2012. The beginning of works is planned for the first quarter of the current year.

The consortium agreement follows the agreement between TP (Telekomunikacja Polska) and the Lubuskie Marshal Office, signed in March 2011. The consortium will build the fibre-optic network of 1.449 kilometers in length. The network will cover all twelve counties in the Lubuskie region. The investment will be executed by stages. The first 124 relations of the network will be handed over till the end of the year 2012.

The main concept behind the project is to expand and improve the infrastructure of the Information Superhighway, as well as the elimination of so called “white spots” in the Lubuskie region - these are areas with no or limited Internet Access. The Broadband Lubuskie project deployment is Lubuskie Regional Operating Program for 2007 – 2013. The total worth of the project is more than 150 M PLN.
